Traditional Singing Workshop

Ceol na Coille Summer School 2014

A one-day Singing Workshop will take place during this 5-day programme of traditional music workshops and performances running from Monday 21st July to Friday 25th July, 2014, during Earagail Arts Festival.

Introduction to the Inishowen Song Project – the singers and the songs  (adults, teenagers)

10 am – 11 am

Children’s Action Songs with Jane Cassidy & Maurice Leyden (children)

11 am – 1 pm

Learning Inishowen songs with Grace Toland & Colm Toland

Lunch

2 pm – 3 pm

Learning Inishowen Songs & question & answer session

3 pm – 4 pm

The Singers’ Recital: members of the Inishowen Traditional  Singers’ Circle

The day long Singing Workshop costs €30 per person

This is an ideal opportunity for people living in Donegal and for those visiting the county to learn traditional music & song in a relaxed and encouraging environment.  All classes will be held in Coláiste Ailigh, Cnoc na Mona, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.

Ceol  na Coille will provide bus transport from Inishowen to Letterkenny, and return, each day of the Summer School, including the Wednesday Singing Workshop.
