We’ll be flying high for the May session in McFeeley’s Bar, Clonmany when the Singers’ Circle takes on a night of bird singing! All around Ireland, during the month of May, singers are going to dig through their song books and heads to find songs that mention birds … eagles, larks, nightingales, blackbirds, cuckoos, wrens …
Our concert this year features 3 musicians, firmly rooted in the Inishowen tradition – Patsy Toland, tenor guitar, Mick Denieffe, button accordion, and Roisin Harrigan, fiddle. Drawing on tunes of Clonmany fiddler Seamus Grant and the local dance tradition, this trio will sit easily among the singers, and hold their own!
