Deirdre McGrory is a singer and whistle player from Culdaff. She is a graduate of the World Academy of Music, at the University of Limerick. Now living in Belfast, Deirdre is active in the folk and trad scene there. Deirdre has devoted much of her time to collecting and reactivating songs from around Inishowen. Together with her sister Ella, they released ‘Lionnir’ in 2021 and have performed at many festivals.
Róise Ní Mhurchú is becoming increasingly recognised as one of Ulster’s finest traditional singers in the Gaelic language, and in English. An award winning singer at both the Oireachtas and CCÉ, she sings regularly at sessions (including Inishowen) and performs and teaches at events in Ireland and internationally. Róise is also an accomplished lilter, fiddle and whistle player.
