ITSC is delighted to celebrate the release of the remastered John Donovan (1914-1949) gramophone recordings with a special Malin Head event in the Community Centre at 2 pm, Sunday 21 June 2026. The recordings will be officially launched by Anne & Jim Toland (Anne Donovan), with live performances of John’s songs from Inishowen Trad Choir and Mary Smyth. A specially filmed performance of ‘My Lovely Irish Rose’ by the children of Malin Head National School will also be screened. CDs and download vouchers will be available to purchase on the day.

And then no better place to adjourn for songs and music than Farren's Bar, Slievebawn, Malin Head, 4 - 6 pm where John himself would have sung many times in his day.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Malin Head!
