‘Come-All-Ye’ song collection
A ‘Come-All-Ye’ song collection was published by the Derry Journal over a period of some 50 years. It appeared in four distinct editions, compiled by unknown editors. These books both draw on local singing traditions of the Derry hinterland, including that of Inishowen, and have had an influence on the oral tradition. The collections are reproduced here courtesy of Martin McGinley, editor of the Derry Journal. An essay by Dr John Moulden outlining the history of these collections is also available below.
