Annie is one of the McGonigle (James Eoghain) family and was born, reared and still lives in the townland of Cloontagh, Clonmany. Sister to Jim, Charlie, Michael, Pat and Mary Gill, she was married to Neilie Hirrell who himself was a fine singer.
